The ribbon cutting was held on December 10, 2011 to officially open the Multiplex. 

The facility was buzzing with  visitors despite the pool remaining closed. 

Mayor Bill Given cut the ribbon which was held by Vic Fox with Wright
Construction and Shawn Visser of Barr Ryder Architects.
